Dallas, Texas - Holly Johnson (#3 seed) from Tallahassee, Florida won the 33rd annual Maureen Connolly Brinker Girls? 14 National Championships at T-Bar-M Racquet Club in Dallas, Texas. She defeated Kristen Rafael (#1 seed) from Grand Prairie, Texas 6-4, 6-0. The tournament was held from March 26-28, 2004.

Ashley Turpin (#3 seed) from New Braunfels, Texas defeated Subi Sundaram (#6 seed) from Santa Maria, CA for Third Place and Fourth Place due to illness. Anastasia Zavgorodni (Dallas, TX) defeated Cassandra Herzberg (Miami Beach, FL) 6-3, 6-1 for Fifth and Sixth Place. In the Consolation Final, Kelsey Haviland (Dayton, OH) defeated Danielle Mills (Bradenton, FL) 6-1, 6-4. The Sportsmanship Award was presented to Kristen Rafael.

Invitations were sent to the top players who are 14 & under from each section of the USTA. This singles-only event is sanctioned by the USTA and is on the National Junior Tennis Schedule.

Carol Weyman, Executive Vice-President of the Maureen Connolly Brinker Tennis Foundation, presented the trophies.

This is one of the many events the MCB Tennis Foundation organizes to promote junior tennis development. Maureen Connolly was the first woman to win the Grand Slam at 18 years of age in 1953. She is still the youngest and only American player to win the Grand Slam.
