Nationals – a well run tournament

Thank you for such a wonderful tournament. You topped last year’s! I was so touched watching Perry make friends, hearing him wish them good luck in their matches, and then seeing them play tag and wrestle afterwards.

But we appreciate all the other great things about the “Little Mo” Nationals: a well-run tournament by Brian, Deb, and Doug at ATA; smart, hardworking ATA volunteers everywhere; an excellent and fast stringer at ATA; kind and helpful people in the ATA ProShop; attentive and caring referees on the courts; pleasant, skillful, and hardworking photographers and videographers; fun player drills and a lovely opening ceremony; the speakers, the singer, the player party, the t-shirts, the gifts, the awards, the lights on court at 7am, etc. They make this a special tournament. Thank you, from all of us.

We liked winning, too. Two “Little Mo” Nationals does feel like two grand slams. It takes so much to prepare an 8- and 9-year old for such a big tournament. We feel fortunate Perry has been so successful. We will keep working hard and try for another! Perry played with a group of kids in Michael Jessup’s clinics in Palo Alto this summer. Check out Mike’s website for some pictures of prior year Little Mo players, Cameron Klinger, Catherine Bellis, etc, (www.playercapital.com).

See you soon,

Rosalyn Gregg
