Read MoreThe 6th annual “Little Mo” Internationals is set to begin on Friday, December 7 at the PGA National Resort & Spa in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. The player check-in Friday afternoon at PGA along with a “complimentary” clinic given by Anne Smith, 10 time grand slam champion. The opening ceremony/player parade will begin at 3:45pm at PGA followed by a talk on mental toughness given by Anne Smith at 5:00pm. Matches will begin on Saturday morning and continue through Tuesday, December 11. (Wednesday, December 12 is a rain date or if there are any delays.) Matches will also be played at BallenIsles Country Club. Singles, Doubles and Mixed Doubles for boys and girls 8, 9, 10, 11, and 12. www.mcbtennis.org

En route to the title, Gonzalez defeated five opponents. Seeded number two, he triumphed over Shaun Berman (Miami, Florida) in the R32, Tillman Haynes (Dallas, Texas) in the R16, number five seed Lee-Shawn Stein (Edmond, Oklahoma) in the quarterfinals, number three seed Kyle Mautner (Greenwich, Connecticut) in the semi-finals, and Emil Reinberg (Atlanta, Georgia) in the finals. Master tennis coaches believe that it takes seven years to develop an elite high-performance player. This has certainly been the case with Xavier.
