Nick Bollettieri to give clinic at “Little Mo” Internationals

Legendary coach, Nick Bollettieri, will give a tennis clinic to all “Little Mo” players on Friday, December  9 at the “Little Mo” Internationals at the IMG Bollettieri Tennis Academy in Bradenton, Florida.  We hope you will plan to attend the tournament and participate in Nick’s clinic.  Entry is online:  mcbtennis.org and click on Tournaments.

“Mini Mo” Texas date set

September 7, 2011

for Sunday, October 2 at the Arlington Tennis Center. The “Mini Mo” tournament is designed for boys and girls ages 5-10.Matches will be played on  36′ courts, 60′ courts and 78’s courts with red, orange and green “low compression” balls depending on the age division. For entry form, please email Cartennis@aol.com.  The “Mini Mo” is open to any player nationwide and offers the opportunity for tournament play  with trophies, sportsmanship medals and other prizes to be given.  Players will have a fun day on the courts, meeting new friends and enjoying this game of a lifetime.

“Mini Mo” site/date changed to Sunday, Oct.2 at Arlington Tennis Center

The “Mini Mo” date is now Sunday, October 2 from 9:00 am – 6:00 pm – match times will depend on the age division.  All matches will be played  at the Arlington Tennis Center.  Age divisions:  5 & 6,  7 & 8, 9 & 10 (beginner & advanced).  Matches will be played with either the red, orange or green ball on the shortened 36′ or 60′ courts depending on the age division.  The Advanced 9 & 10’s will play on full court with the green ball.  For an entry form, please email Cartennis@aol.com.

Congrats to top 4 former “Little Mo” players who made the top 4 at Girls 12’s National Hardcourts

Congrats to Catherine Bellis, Michaela Gordon, Riley McQuaid and Ryan Peus for making the top 4 at the 2011 USTA National Girls 12 hardcourts in Georgia.  The same four girls were the top four players in the Girls 9’s at the “Little Mo” Nationals in 2008.  Way to go girls! Keep up the good work.  We are so proud of you at the MCB Tennis Foundation. Final Four of USTA Girls 12 National Hardcouts – 2011 Riley and Ryan knew each other before  “Little Mo” from their SoCal section.  Cici knew Ryan before “Little Mo”  from one tournament.  But, Cici, Riley and Michaela all met at the “Little Mo” Girls’ 8s.  Riley and Ryan practice together in SoCal and Cici and Michaela practice together in Nor Cal!  Michaela moved to NorCal  after the  “Little Mo”  9s.

Drawsheet USTA 12 Girls National Hardcourts Drawsheet “Little Mo” Girls 9 – 2008 Hi Carol!  Hope all is well!  Thought you’d enjoy something interesting from the recent g12s national hard court championships in alpharetta, ga.  The semi final match-ups this past week were exactly the same from the ” Little Mo” Girls’  9 nationals three years ago!  It ended differently this time, but all four girls are still great friends and had great tournaments.  I attached the photo and the draws from the  “Little Mo”  9s.    Photo (left to right) — Catherine Bellis (1st place), Michaela Gordon (2nd place), Riley McQuaid (3rd place), Ryan Peus (4th place)!     Final Four of USTA Girls 12 National Hardcouts – 2011 Riley and Ryan knew each other before  “Little Mo” from their SoCal section.  Cici knew Ryan before “Little Mo”  from one tournament.  But, Cici, Riley and Michaela all met at the “Little Mo” Girls’ 8s. …

Austin Mayo Receives Gatorade “G” Award at IMG Bollettieri Academy

Austin Mayo (age 17) from Austin, Texas and former “Little Mo” player attended a week camp at IMG and was honored with the Gatorade “G” award for displaying heart, hustle and soul while exhibiting a true desire to be come the total athlete.  Only one camper in each sport at IMG is selected for this honor. Congratulations, Austin!Austin attends the Austin Tennis Academy in Austin, Texas. “Austin Mayo has displayed Attitude, Concentration and Effort on a daily basis and has received recognition by our coaching staff. Our coaching staff strives daily to deliver Quality Instruction within a Competitive Environment and provide all of our summer camp athletes with the Opportunity to fulfill their individual athletic potential.  Athleticism, Strict Discipline, High Work-Rate, and a Winning Mentality are the minimum expectations we have and congratulations to Austin who has excelled.”
