Read MoreCongratulations to Kaylan Bigun from Phoenix, Arizona! He just won the prestigious Smrikva Bowl in Pula, Croatia – one of the best tournaments in Europe for players 10 years of age. Kaylan is the first USA player to ever win this event and his twin brother, Meecah, came in 3rd place. Kaylan is currently in the running for the “Little Mo” Slam. He won the 1st leg at the “Little Mo” Internationals in Palm Springs, California and will be competing in the 2nd leg at the “Little Mo” Internationals in Forest Hills, New York from August 21-27. If he wins New York and the 3rd and final leg in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, he will win a 6 foot tall trophy – the tallest trophy in junior tennis! Keep up the good work. The 2nd “Little Mo”/ Smrikva Bowl was played at the Austin Tennis Academy (Texas) on Friday, October 24th 2003. The Europeans won by defeating the United States 6-2. The players representing the United States were: Emmett Egger (Issaquah, WA), Robert Stineman (Winnetka, IL), Karen Forman (Del Mar, CA) and Katie Klyczek (Munster, IN). The players representing Europe were the finalists of the 8th Smrikva Bowl: Jennifer Ren (UK), Silvia Njiric (Cro), Dominic Thiem (A) and George Morgan (UK).
