Yellow ball added for ages 9 and 10 for “Little Mo” Internationals at PGA Resort in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida
News Flash: Players age 9 & 10 will be able to play with the yellow ball in the “Little Mo” Internationals at the PGA National Resort & Spa in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida from December 7-12, 2012. Players now have a choice to play with either yellow or green dot.
The tournament is open to all players from the United States and worldwide who are ages 8, 9,10,11, and 12. Singles, Doubles and Mixed Doubles will be offered. (Draws limited to first 32 to register in each age division.) To register, go to: www.mcbtennis.org and click on Tournaments and the orange sun icon.
In keeping with the “Little Mo” tradition of playing others “your own age”, we are adding two new divisions to the 11 & under division for players who are ages 9 and 10 who are playing with the yellow ball. The “flighting of the 11’s division” by birth year offers you the opportunity to play others your same age with the yellow ball.
11 & under Division (all yellow ball)
Flight A: Players born in 2001 (11’s)
Flight B: Players born in 2002 (10’s)
Flight C: Players born in 2003 (9’s)
(Players born in 2004 (8’s) may “play up” in Flight C, if desired.)
Each A, B and C Flight will have its own draw comprised of 32 players based on first come, first served with a first match loser consolation. Trophies will given to 1st – 4th place
consolation winners and runners-up for each flight: A, B and C. The winners of each A,
and C Flight will have a round robin competition to determine the overall 1st, 2nd, 3rd place winner of the 11’s division and trophies will be awarded.
If you have already registered for the “Little Mo” Internationals and would like to change your division to play in a “flighted” division in the 11’s in order to play others your same age with the yellow ball, please email your name and desired flight to cartennis@aol.com and we will make the change.
In addition to the 11 & under division (Flights A, B, C) and the 12 & under division playing with the yellow ball, we are also offering players age 8, 9 and 10 the option to play with the low compression green dot ball. Many international players are using the green dot ball so these three divisions (8’s, 9’s and 10’s) will also be very competitive.
We hope you will plan to join us for all of the great tennis and festivities in Florida. Players from all over the world will be coming to this very special, unique tournament for young future stars. Looking forward to seeing you. Please help us spread the word to all your friends.
